Originally established in 2000 as a technology transfer organization, LifeArc has since evolved into a leading charity dedicated to accelerating the translation of innovative research into real-world applications.


Life Arc came to us with concerns about the quality of hires, the candidate experience, and fierce competition for talent within the LS triangle of Stevenage, Edinburgh, and London. Our solutions involved implementing targeted recruitment strategies, streamlining the candidate journey, and leveraging innovative approaches to attract top talent in the competitive life sciences landscape.

How we solved the problem

We addressed the challenge by implementing a comprehensive outsourcing recruiting program to support both internal and external hiring needs. Leveraging the Client's Applicant Tracking System (ATS), we streamlined the recruitment process, ensuring efficiency and adherence to agreed-upon standards.


Our strategies included targeted advertising, outreach, and response management to attract a diverse pool of candidates. Additionally, we engaged passive candidates through strategic initiatives,  30% of hires were made via passive candidate sourcing channels. Following this we'd conducted thorough assessments and selections, and managed stakeholder relationships effectively.



Annual recruitment campaigns, an industrial placement program, and a fellowship program further augmented our efforts to secure top talent and meet the client's recruitment objectives.
