Paper applications: going, going, almost gone
As you would expect, the popularity of hard copy resumes continues to wane. Only around one in ten applicants now sees this as the preferred way to apply for a role.
What is perhaps surprising is that video and other social media-enabled applications still only account for a very small proportion of job applications and remain relatively unpopular with candidates.
The acts of searching for and applying for work have changed dramatically over the past ten years, yet a great deal more change lies ahead as employers and employees come to grips with the impact of social and other digital media tools in proving the worth of candidates.
