Sustainability Consultant
Level: Mid-senior level
Salary: £50k- £70k + OTE
Role type: Permanent
Location: UK remote/London based office

Our client is a technology company focused on CO2e mitigation and removal. The company applications and platform enable their clients to plan, procure and manage their Net-zero targets with minimal price impact, with transparency and minimal risk.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, as Sustainability Consultant you will help companies and businesses become more socially and environmentally responsible in how they operate.

Work will involve evaluating the impact the company's carbon footprint is having on the environment and then minimising that impact. You will be responsible for helping customers achieve sustainability outcomes, creating growth opportunities around sustainability, bringing insights back to the company's technology teams and staying alert to client requirements and business opportunities.

Duties include:

  • Leading sustainability strategies and net zero carbon strategies for cross sector of clients and supporting key segments (e.g. Data Centres in UK and W.EU)
  • Supporting our corporate carbon footprinting and net zero strategy work
  • Supporting/Contributing to business development activity including tender responses, competitions and direct proposals
  • Initiating and supporting the development of design tools as well as design/process innovations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine interest in the Renewable Energy business and be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in understanding opportunities in relation to sustainable development, developing strategies and carrying out feasibility studies to support decision making.
  • Experience in preparing Sustainability Statements for planning.
  • Experience of working in an energy management/energy consultancy role
  • Delivery of high-quality technical advice, reports, case studies, presentations and training materials, etc.
  • Experience in the management and delivery of legislative energy and carbon schemes
  • Good understanding of the legislative detail in schemes such as CCA/SECR/ESOS/EUETS/GH G reporting
  • Able to interpret and provide insight from energy and carbon data
  • Able to manage product delivery with a wide-ranging portfolio of clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills
