We are looking for a talented Supply Chain Planner to join our team specialising in Supply Chain Planning for our Engine Business Segment in Darlington.
This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
Salary is £32,665 plus Company Bonus
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Plan and establish production schedules in accordance with sales order demand, forecasts and plant capacity to efficiently support customer requirements.
Maintain and monitor master data; revise essential system planning data to ensure system is effectively planning future requirements.
Works to align and optimise; Raw material (RM) stocking strategies with Material Planners, Work in Process (WIP) with Operations, and Finished Goods (FG) stocking strategies with Materials and Customer Service.
Build Capacity Planning - Understanding sales order and forecast requirements to systemically align work order volumes at a daily level in line with the production schedule. Evaluating and optimising constraints around product mix, plant capacity and material availability.
Order Promising - Balancing Sales Order demand and Purchase Order availability, with consideration for DEP order promising strategy; Incoterms, Mix constraints, and Forecast in line with the production schedule to provide the Customer with an accurate first time promise.
Sales Order Changes - Evaluates requested changes within the demand, using systemic outputs to understand DEP's ability to react.
Uses synchronised business planning to evaluate firm vs forecast, uptake rates and option changes to drive an accurate Buy plan though the utilisation of planning bills.
Collects and analyses master data (bill-of-material, work center & capabilities, etc.) supporting Plan for Every Part (PFEP) whilst actively participating in continuous improvement (quality, safety, process, material flow, etc.)
Excess and Obsolete Material Management - Works with quality to disposition non-conforming/no usage material in a timely manner.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Supply Chain or Business-related subject with supportive experience.
Suitable for newly qualified graduates in appropriate field of study.
High level of IT competency, Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite skills preferred for data compilation and analysis, use of MPS in Oracle or SAP and/or ASCP is a bonus.
Excellent understanding of tools and systems that support production scheduling processes. Experienced in data collation and analysis.
Knowledge and understanding of supply chain concepts and application.
