Reward & Pensions (Governance & Operations), UK & Europe Region

My client a large international Engineering Consultancy with 35, 000 employees worldwide is seeking a Reward & Pensions specialist within their Governance & Operations, covering the UK and Europe region.

  • This is Fixed Term 12 months contract

  • Reporting to the Pensions Operations Manager UK & Europe.

  • Act as a specialist support for the management of SNC-Lavalin's defined benefit pension programmes with a particular focus on Trustee governance matters and pensions operations supporting pensions delivery.

  • Provide generalist support for the delivery of compensation, pension, and benefits programmes for the UK & Europe region.



Responsibilities
Specialist Support - Pensions

  • Support our clients private and public defined benefit pension arrangements.


Trustee Governance

  • Support the delivery of best-in-class Trustee governance for the APP.

  • Work closely with the pensions administrator (XPS) and Secretariat (Inside Pensions) to ensure delivery of services for the APP, including management of escalations of queries and complaints.

  • Oversee the organization of Trustee main board and sub-committee meetings including all necessary logistics.

  • Oversee the Data Protection and Cyber Security policy for the APP.

  • Oversee the annual preparation of the APP annual report and accounts.


DC Governance

  • Support the DC governance process for the organization.


Improvement/Project Activities

  • Lead projects to improve the management and governance of the APP.

  • Support pension administration efficiency, including working with IT Services to scope and deliver automation where possible, identifying and suggesting process improvements.

  • Act as pension policy and process expert within HR Operations, advising other teams in HR Operations on changes in pension arrangements and the implications for HR Operations


Generalist Support - Compensation, Pension & Benefits

  • Support the delivery of annual compensation, pension & benefits cyclical activities, and stand-alone projects for the UK & Europe region.


Key Skills and Behaviors

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, working towards professional qualifications.

  • Prior success in a defined benefit pensions delivery role; ideally with some practical knowledge and experience in compensation, pension & benefits.

  • A focus on hands-on delivery, demonstrating resourcefulness and purpose to deliver the best results for the organization and its people.

  • The ability to work flexibly and to tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish credibility with other parts of the HR function.

  • Ability to work in a team-driven environment as well as in an autonomous manner.

  • Experience of working with external vendors / providers.



Location: Epsom, Surrey
Salary: Competitive
Hours Monday to Friday 40 hrs per week.
