Job description

We are looking for a talented Readiness Associate to join our team specialising in Engineering for our Engine Business Segment in Darlington and remote home working.

This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. Starting salary is £32,000 - £37,000 depending on experience.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Perform role as program build boss, involving management of build meeting, setting the aim/plan and following up on build issues to ensure on time delivery
  • Responsible for communication with different plants and stakeholders
  • Support Readiness Leader through maintenance of the readiness tracker and leading readiness meetings. Will need to make use of Buy Lists from Excel or NPID.
  • Responsible for placing purchase orders for prototype parts on the supply base and conducting regular follow ups to ensure on-time delivery. Will take appropriate problem-solving activity when delivery is at risk.
  • Will be responsible for tracking and documenting engine status from order entry through to shipment, including any requirement for upgrades.
  • Ensuring that engines are shipped and invoiced on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Assist program management with budget planning, tracking & analysis of variances.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Relevant experience in a supply chain function
  • Experience within a VPI (New Product Introduction) function or team is preferred
  • Needs to have proficient Excel & Office Package Skills
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Be an effective communication and meeting skills
