LifeArc is a self-funded medical research charity. Our mission is to advance translation of early science into health care treatments or diagnostics that can be taken through to full development and made available to patients. We have been doing this for more than 25 years and our work has resulted in a diagnostic for antibiotic resistance and four licensed medicines.
Our success allows us to explore new approaches to stimulate and fund translation. We have our own drug discovery and diagnostics development facilities, supported by experts in technology transfer and intellectual property who also provide services to other organisations. Our model is built on collaboration, and we partner with a broad range of groups including medical research charities, research organisations, industry and academic scientists. We are motivated by patient need and scientific opportunity.
The Role
Due to continued growth LifeArc requires a Project Coordinator who will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Diagnostics team, supporting the effective management, operational implementation and successful completion of Scientific projects within LifeArc. The Project Coordinator will assist on a varity of project and programmes of work and may be directly responsible to manage smaller projects whilst collaborating with project leads.
As the Project Coordinator you will have an understanding of new product development within Life Sciences and regulated industries, strong administrative experience, excellent planning, organising and interpersonal skills, with a keen interest in the field of healthcare research or similar technology implementation.
You will be part of a dynamic team based in Edinburgh, with some occasional travel to other sites and partners. The Project Corrdintaor will work with but not limited to Senior Project Managers, Senior Scientists, Head of Assay Development and other project leads so strong communication skills are a must.
Who You Are
To be considered for the Project Coorintaor position you must be able to demonstrate experiences and skills in the following areas:
- Experience of project management administration and an understanding of project stages
- Prior In-Vitro Diagnostics, Medical Device development or Pharmaceutical experience
- Strong administration and project coordination skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise their work
- Willingness to work within a team at pace and within an evolving environment
- Proficient using Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
This role would suit someone with good understanding of projects, from a Regulatory, Quality, or Scientific background within IVD looking to move into Project Management.
Salary
Your salary will be determined by qualifications and experience. In addition, LifeArc offers a defined contribution pension scheme, private health insurance, a flexible benefits scheme and 31 days paid holiday per year.
