We are delighted to be looking for a talented HR Assistant to join our team specialising in Human Resources for our Supply Chain HR Department in Huddersfield along with some remote home working.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
Working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Support HR activities within a site, organisational unit, or department.
Assists in the deployment of a broad range of defined HR processes within the business.
Works within defined processes and procedures to provide HR support to employees and may help determine the appropriate resolution to common HR inquiries.
Works within defined HR processes to take appropriate action (e.g. compensation, benefits, performance management, exit interviews, relocation, and immigration support)
Ensures accuracy and completeness of workforce information in HR Information Systems, including employee files; conducts regular data-entry audits to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Coordinates and assists with internal audit requests.
Provides staffing and recruiting support; coordinates recruiting activities; updates the applicant tracking system, coordinates assessment testing where applicable, conducts reference checks for new hires; coordinates new hire orientation assignments and activities.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
Supports Supply Chain HR team in improvement of processes and implementation of critical projects
Experience working within a busy HR department with basic knowledge of employment legislation
Experience of Microsoft software packages is a must e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and independently.
Able to be trusted with highly confidential information.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities, exercising responsible judgement when appropriate.
Studying towards CIPD qualifications preferred but not essential
