Job description

Our Client is a leading Engineering business based in Gloucestershire. The company currently require a talented Electronics Team Leader to join the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers to develop products and systems for high performance electric vehicles.
  • Be responsible for ensuring safety around high voltage systems including safety rules/procedures and vehicle safety analysis.
  • Keep up with market trends and identify new products and opportunities for innovation.
  • Work on product design yourself where required.

Skills Required:

  • A good degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or other relevant discipline and a demonstrable level of industrial experience, ideally in automotive or motorsports.
  • A broad technical knowledge of automotive or motorsport vehicle systems including power electronics, battery management and LV systems.
  • Confident in use of CAN communications.
  • Good understanding of vehicle electromagnetic noise sources, how to design a robust system and debug noise issues when they occur.
  • Good understanding and experience in circuit design
  • Experience of SPICE based simulation tools
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB ideally including Simulink
  • Good understanding of electronics validation (EMC, thermal, NVH etc.)
  • Ability to build and manage supplier relationships
  • Able to draw up detailed and accurate timing plans for projects within the team
