Customer Service & Production Manager
Perm/ full time role - 8.30 am - 4 pm
Based in Chapel-en-le- Frith
Salary - 30-35K

This role is to manage all aspects of customer services to achieve the budgeted/ forecasted sales orders and on-time deliveries to the customer base via effective production planning process on a highly complex manufacturing plan

key responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify customer schedules
  • Manually key customer spot orders and provide order confirmations
  • Input customer schedules manually where required
  • Analysis of customer schedules/orders to understand and highlight significant variation and risks
  • Liaison with customers to understand their needs and reasons for change to requirements
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with all customers including regular telephone contact and face to face meetings as required
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with fellow colleagues and all departments
  • Ensure early notification to the appropriate departments of issues that could impact on delivery performance
  • Complete customer generated reports relating to logistics activities and escalate to Logistics Manager
  • Communicate customer weekly arrears
  • Support a strong link to production areas including regular, up to date, information feeds and quick reaction to customer and production related issues
  • Attendance and reporting at daily production review meetings
  • Level schedules and plan production sequence required to meet customer requirements whilst maximizing production capacity
  • Generate and distribute op cards to production as required to meet current production cell needs
  • Develop and maintain pressing and finishing plans
  • Implement and maintain visual planning
  • Liaise with procurement reference material availability
  • Co-ordinate Finished goods shipment alongside despatch team
  • Look at the order book for the weekly planning meeting and highlight and issues or arbitration required
  • Input into the annual budget process for business planning
  • Ensure that production plans reflect the up to date needs of the customer at all times
  • Highlight any risks to financial achievements
  • Provide daily requirements data and status reports to meet business needs
  • Monitor and report delivery performance * Achieve DSA to 100% for OE, OES and AM customers across all product ranges
  • Monitor turnover achieved and adjust plans where possible/necessary to ensure that plant turnover is met
  • Actively promote and take part in continuous improvement activities
  • Promote and contribute to a safe environment
  • Contribute to 5's activities
