So if you’re hungry to learn and have the ambition, RAC is the ideal place to develop your skills and your career.
What roles are available?
Performance Coach
You’re a talented coach. Interesting, inspiring and knowledgeable, you know how to get the very best out of people. That’s why you’re the ideal person to join the RAC, helping improve their processes, service levels, and their sales by providing the very best in coaching to a sales team of up to twenty people.
Deployment Specialist
Using the latest state-of-the-art equipment, you’ll provide a highly efficient service to every customer who rings us for help when they’ve broken down. You’ll help deploy everyone from patrols to Flatbed Recovery Services, ensuring that the RAC use their resources efficiently, and get to their customers in the shortest time possible.
Customer Service Specialist
Friendly, sympathetic and highly efficient, you’re just the type of person they need to provide a service to members who have broken down. Of course, they may be upset, stressed or worried – but your helpful, warm approach will calm them down, reassure them and put them at ease. Of course, you’ll also be making sure that every customer is back on the road in no time at all.
CSC Sales Advisor
The RAC see all their customers as individuals who can benefit from personalised motoring solutions. That’s why, as a salesperson for RAC, you’ll get to know the customer, and work out exactly the right products for their needs before you begin selling. The result? You’ll translate a high percentage of customer enquiries into sales, meeting – and even breaking – your targets time after time.
CSC Sales Team Leader
The RAC Sales teams aren’t about the hard sell. Yes, they want to achieve – even smash – targets. But they want to do so in a way that reflects the RAC brand – one that’s famed for its integrity. That’s why you’ll ensure that your sales team’s approach is based on an in-depth knowledge of their products and services. Plus, of course, the ability to match each individual customer’s needs with the motoring solutions that are just right for them.

History of the RAC
Ever since its foundation in 1897, RAC has been consistently at the forefront in developing motoring services - from introducing uniformed patrols in 1901 and roadside emergency telephone boxes in 1912 right through to the present day when we boast the world's most advanced computer systems to deal with calls for roadside assistance.
Six million RAC Members enjoy access to an enormous range of motoring products and services throughout their driving lives, ranging from the familiar and much appreciated roadside assistance in the event of a breakdown to continually updated legal and technical advice and up-to-the-minute travel information.
In March 2005, Aviva plc acquired RAC for around £1.1 billion. The acquisition brings together RAC's powerful brand and customer base with the expertise and leading position in motor insurance of Norwich Union Insurance (part of Aviva). Norwich Union is the UK's largest insurer. It is a leading provider of life, pensions and investment products and one of the largest Financial Adviser providers. Norwich Union is the UK's largest general insurer with a market share of around 14%, with a focus on insurance for individuals and small businesses.
