Recession Creates More Entrepreneurs

The latest results from the Kelly Global Workforce Index reveal that 1 in 5 people now describe themselves as "Self-Employed", and among the rest more than half expressing a desire to work more independently.  The survey finds that 20% of respondents want to start their own business venture, with the 18-29 generation the most enthusiastic.  Click here to find out more about the recesssions impact on Entrepreneurialism


Kelly Services becomes REC Member

Kelly Services has secured membership to the Recruitment and Employment Confediration (REC).  The REC is the representative body for the UK’s £27 billion private recruitment and staffing industry with a membership of more than 8,000 corporate members comprising agencies and businesses from all sectors and 6,000 members of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) made up of recruitment consultants and other industry professionals. All members must abide by an REC Code of Professional Practice

Kelly Survey Reveals Recession Raising Loyalty Among UK Employee's
A recent survey by Kelly Services has revealed that the UK's workforce is more loyal to their current employer than before the recession.  The Kelly Global Workforce Index (KGWI) was conducted from October 2009 - January 2010 and surveyed over 134,000 people from across the World including 6000 in the UK.  To read the press release on the KGWI click here
