Kelly Services appoints new General Manager for UK and Ireland

Leading recruitment expert, Kelly Services, has begun a positive new year with the appointment of Chris Moore as Regional General Manager for the UK and Ireland.  Moore will take over from Catherine King who has headed up Kelly Services for the past 18 months, returning to the global headquarters in Troy, Michigan, USA in February.  Taking up his position with immediate effect, Moore will report directly to Kelly Services, Inc in the USA. 

Commenting on his appointment,Chris Moore said: “This welcome new challenge comes at a busy and exciting time for Kelly Services as we work to maintain our position as one of the UK’s, and indeed global, leading recruitment agencies.  We have already started 2007 by announcing our plans for a new division, Kelly Professional Recruitment.  We are also expanding our existing expertise in the specialist markets of science, engineering and finance, as well as the launch of a new IT recruitment business.  With additional investment in a new state of the art back office system, we will revolutionise our payroll and billing function, and provide our clients with more sophisticated management information.”

Moore has over 15 years in the recruitment and staffing industry. He joined Kelly Services in 2000 as Account Director for key client BT. In 2002 he set up the Corporate Account and New Business Sales teams; and in 2005 took on the role of Director of Operations.

Kelly Services also welcomes Amanda Swift as General manager for Ireland, reporting directly to Chris Moore.  Amanda will oversee and develop the Ireland market.  She joined Kelly Services from Grafton where she was Regional Manager for Southern Ireland.
