Kelly Launches North East Branch
Open Day A Great Success
Kelly Scientific Resources (KSR) is pleased to announce that it has launched a North East branch, which is be located in Newcastle at Northumberland House, Princes Square. This follows on from the highly successful open day in August when over 70 North East scientists turned up to meet KSR recruitment experts.
The KSR branch in Newcastle was officially launched with an informal presentation to North East scientific businesses, followed by a cocktail reception and dinner. In addition to the local KSR team, Chris Jock, the global head of KSR, and Josée Paradis, who heads up KSR in Europe, were in attendance.
KSR has decided to open its latest UK branch in Newcastle due to the concentration of manufacturing, pharmaceutical and research & development businesses in the area. The opening of a branch in Newcastle is also seen as a key element in KSR’s strategy to offer its clients global staffing solutions. Many companies located in the North East region already use KSR elsewhere in the world including Sanofi, Bristol Meyers Squibb, Mercke & Dohme.
Audrey McCulloch-Aziz, who heads up KSR in the UK, said, “The North East has a greater concentration of science related business than many other parts of the UK. That is why we have decided to open our fourth UK office here. We want to help these businesses to recruit the best of the region’s considerable scientific talent.”
The KSR branch in Newcastle is staffed entirely by people with a scientific background who can ‘speak the same language’ as their clients and candidates. All members of the KSR team have science PhDs and experience in fields such as polymer chemistry, biotech and medicinal research.
Audrey continued, “It is important that we have a strong team in place in the North East as it is increasingly critical to develop strong relationships with our clients and it’s hard to do this if you aren’t local. We want to provide businesses in the North East with a top-quality service when it comes to scientific recruitment. Our candidates are all thoroughly interviewed and reference checked and then carefully matched to suitable opportunities before they are recommended to prospective employers.”
KSR Newcastle is already on the look out for local talent with current vacancies for laboratory technicians, QA/QC chemists, analytical chemists and biochemists. For more information about the vacancies or KSR Newcastle please contact Caroline Huntley and Craig Fleming on 0191 230 3592.
