Chance For Office Superstars To Win Top UK Award

Secretaries and PA’s play a key role in any office but are very often an under-appreciated asset. A new award organised by Kelly Services and Smart PA magazine aims to change that by giving secretaries and PA’s the recognition and rewards they deserve.

The winner of the prestigious Smart Secretary/PA of the Year Award 2004 will enjoy the recognition of being the best secretary or PA in the country, a fantastic holiday for two in a five-star hotel in Cyprus, a luxury spa break at Champneys and a hamper from Harrods.

Secretaries and PA’s who fancy themselves as the office hero can compete against the country’s best by simply collecting and completing an entry form from the local Kelly Branch.

All they have to do is answer a few relevant questions and then ask their boss to provide a nomination of not more than 250 words. Regional winners will be selected and go through to a final in London where they will meet a judging panel and be put through their paces before the winner is selected.

Modern bosses are often fairly self-sufficient, using e-mail, taking business calls direct via their mobile phone and often arrange their own appointments. As a result today’s PA’s and secretaries have taken on more challenging office roles and now need to be real multi-taskers to succeed. We hope that this new award will attract the best secretaries and PA’s to enter and compete for the top title."
