Kelly Educational Staffing Wins Government Approval

London Expansion Planned

Kelly Educational Staffing (KES), the educational staffing arm of Kelly Services, has taken a major step forward with the Government Office for London’s decision to include the company on its preferred supplier list for 16 London Boroughs from September 2004.

This is a major achievement for KES, which was established in the UK just three years ago, as it means that it can now compete on an equal footing with long-established providers of supply teachers and other educational staff.

Gareth Williams, who heads up KES in the UK, said, “To be recommended as preferred supplier by the Government Office for London is a tremendous achievement for us and a public recognition of the quality of service and support we are able to offer London teachers and schools. This decision should lead to a major expansion in our London operations.”

The Government will be actively communicating and marketing the preferred suppliers to all London schools for both temporary and permanent education candidates. Moreover, in 2003 the education market in London was estimated to be worth in excess of £150M.

Kelly Educational Staffing has been a preferred supplier to London Borough of Tower Hamlets for over a year and the excellent service provided to that Borough was a key factor in the Government Office for London’s decision to award KES preferred supplier status.
