Online Science Campus To Be Demonstrated
Kelly Scientific Resources (KSR) is holding a special recruitment open day for Newcastle scientists on 18th August. The event is being held at Northumberland House, Princess Square and will be hosted by Audrey McCulloch-Aziz who heads up KSR in the UK.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to talk to Audrey and the Newcastle team who are experts in the field of scientific recruitment. They will be able to advise on a variety of employment related subjects as well as provide handy tips for landing that dream science job. Scientifically qualified people often undervalue themselves so the KSR team will be making them aware of their true value in the market as well as talking about some of the top scientific positions that are available in the Newcastle region.
Visitors to the Open Day will also be able to see KSR’s unique Science Learning Centre demonstrated. This on-line learning package was created to help address the UK’s skill shortage in key scientific areas. The science and management courses are offered to KSR candidates to expand their skill sets and are free or heavily subsidised. Attendees will also be given a mini CD-Rom containing a sample lesson to take home with them.
Audrey McCulloch-Aziz said, “Newcastle has some top scientific talent and some excellent pharmaceutical and science employers too. There are some great jobs out there and we want to marry them to the local talent. Our Open Day is an excellent way of doing this. I would really recommend that anyone with scientific qualifications and experience who is thinking about a career change to come along and talk to us.”
KSR is staffed entirely by people with a scientific background who can ‘speak the same language’ as clients and candidates. They are focused on providing candidates with the right jobs for them while at the same time removing the stress and hassle of recruiting from scientific employers in industries such as biotechnology, chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, food, cosmetics and medicine.
