Quality Mark
Kelly Educational Staffing (KES) has achieved the prestigious ‘Quality Mark 2005-2007’ standard relating to the recruitment and employment of supply teachers.
The Quality Mark was launched in July 2002, as a joint initiative between the Department of Education and Skills (DCFS) and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) to help drive up standards in the educational recruitment industry. It is a key indicator of good practice and is increasingly specified by LEA’s as a requirement for recruitment agencies supplying teachers. The standards required to achieve the Quality Mark are fairly stringent in order to ensure that schools, parents and pupils have confidence in their supply staff. As a result the Quality Mark provides both assurance and official recognition that the highest standards of recruitment practice are being adhered to. The ‘Quality Mark’ also ensures that teachers looking for work can select reputable agencies that will add value to their experience as supply teachers.
Kelly Educational Staffing was one for the first recruitment agencies in the UK to achieve the original 2002-2004 mark and it was also one of the first companies to successfully complete the re-evaluation process for the 2005-2007 award. Sam Rope, who heads up KES in the UK, said,
“We are delighted to have achieved the Quality Mark once again and were particularly pleased at the feedback received from the evaluation team which was extremely complimentary. 50 consultancies obtained the Quality Mark 2002-2004. So far twenty have been re-audited for the Quality Mark 2005-2007. Only five of these have passed to date and KES did the best".
