The Safety of children and young people always comes first

Kelly Educational Staffing® is proud to confirm its commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Keeping children and young people safe is a key priority for us.

One of the ways in which we are able to successfully meet our commitment to safeguarding children and young people is through our thorough candidate registration process. All new candidates registering for work in the education sector are initially vetted in accordance with Department for Education guidelines. They must then undergo an in-depth face-to-face interview and agree to be part of a stringent background checking process. These checks include: List 99, enhanced CRB disclosure, reference checks, right to work and qualification checks. By agreeing to our thorough registration process, candidates can be assured they are working for a recruitment agency that values the welfare of children and young people and upholds guidelines set out by the Department for Education.

Further demonstration of our commitment to safeguarding is achieved through the use of our 'Safeguarding Children & Safer Recruitment Checklist' - a form of written confirmation to our customers which states the checks that have been completed on any given candidate assigned to work.

In addition, all candidates working through KES or Kelly Services are required to carry with them at all times proof of ID, in the form of an ID card (including name, date of birth, address and photographic identity). We understand and wholly support the need to provide evidence that checks have been completed on a candidate. The ID card supports this evidence by providing proof to a school that the candidate is who they claim to be. In this way, we are re-confirming to our schools our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
